Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Crosby County Criminal History. Using any part of the website means that you accept them. Stop using the site if you do not agree. The resource is privately operated, has no affiliation with Crosby County or the State of Texas, and provides general directions to official record custodians rather than government records or legal services.

NO FCRA USE. This private website and its advertising partners do not provide consumer reports. Do not use any information or tool here for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose.

1. What This Website Is

Crosby County Criminal History is an independent reference website. It points readers toward the Crosby County Sheriff, County Clerk, District Clerk, Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and other official systems. It is not a court, police agency, county office, investigation firm, law firm, or consumer reporting agency. The website cannot issue, certify, change, remove, or guarantee a record.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree to use the website only for lawful personal research and public-information purposes. You may not disrupt the site, evade security, copy data through automated means, impersonate another person, misstate the source of information, violate another person's rights, or use any feature in a way forbidden by law. Access does not grant a right to misuse a government record.

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked service may not be used to threaten, stalk, harass, intimidate, injure, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. Texas registry information exists for public safety, not confrontation or vigilante action. Misuse may violate Texas or federal law. Report a public-safety concern to the proper law-enforcement agency rather than approaching a listed person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

The site does not assemble or furnish consumer reports as the Fair Credit Reporting Act defines them. Its content and sponsored tools are not offered for any decision about credit, work, insurance, housing, or another FCRA-regulated eligibility question. Nothing here may be substituted for legally required notice, authorization, accuracy, dispute, or adverse-action procedures.

When an official record is needed for a purpose authorized by law, use the Texas Department of Public Safety or another properly authorized, FCRA-compliant channel appropriate to that purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

General descriptions of Crosby County records and Texas law are educational only. They do not create an attorney-client relationship and are not advice about a warrant, charge, court deadline, expunction, nondisclosure, registry duty, or any other legal matter. A licensed Texas attorney should address advice for a particular situation.

6. No Warranties

The website is provided as available and without warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. No promise is made that content is complete, current, accurate, error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular goal. Agency procedures, fees, office hours, links, and database coverage can change without notice. Verify all material with the office holding the original record.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Sponsored search providers, advertisers, government portals, and other linked websites operate independently. Their terms, data, prices, availability, and privacy practices control once you use their service. A link does not mean Crosby County Criminal History owns, endorses, guarantees, or controls the destination. Any transaction with an outside provider is between you and that provider.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless another owner is identified, the website's text, layout, logos, graphics, and code are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may read and make reasonable personal use of the content. You may not republish, sell, modify, distribute, scrape, or create a derivative commercial resource from it without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Crosby County Criminal History and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the site, inability to use it, reliance on content, an outside service, or an incomplete or mistaken record. This includes loss caused by delay, omission, interruption, or unauthorized access.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless the website and its operators from claims, costs, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your unlawful use, violation of these terms, infringement of another person's rights, or misuse of information obtained through the website or a linked service.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute connected with use of the website must be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction in Texas. The Texas Public Information Act governs records of Texas government bodies, not this private site's content, while Government Code Chapter 411 governs defined criminal-history access and dissemination.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised when operations, services, or legal requirements change. A new version takes effect when posted. Continued use after that posting means the revised terms apply to later activity.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited, suspended, or ended at any time, with or without notice, when reasonably necessary to protect the service, enforce these terms, respond to misuse, or comply with law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain effective.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. The affected term will be applied as far as the law allows in a manner closest to its original purpose.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms concern use of this private website only. Questions about a Crosby County case, arrest, booking, warrant, registry entry, or certified copy must go to the government office that holds that record.
